Monotheism and Spirituality are two different things

My Master says Buddha himself was not a Buddhist, nor was Christ a Christian, and so on. This needs to be reflected upon well by all. Any exclusive religion, sect, or creed, edifying itself and denouncing others is a farce and by far a best example of bigotry. The doctrine or belief that there is only one God and belief in a seamless oneness of God or divinity are two very different things.

Insistence to prove that ‘only I am right and others are wrong’ led by a vehement and singular belief in a kind of monotheistic religion can make one violent and destructive even if one may be right in truth or logic. We have seen some religions having fallen into this pit more than others and its negative repercussions. Spiritualism as against religion gives you the spirit and succour to be tolerant, loving, expansive, forgiving, unperturbed and calm.

Destiny is no third party!

Destiny is no third party! It is the steam of our own unconsumed and unworked out past in the form of subtle and intense thought waves of unrequited desires returning to us again to get solidified and shaped up as we had once wished them to be in the deep layers of our  astral, mental, and super mental selves and as has been best possible in a sea of a plethora of similar aspiring minds swimming in the ocean of divine creation!

We are therefore responsible for each and every act of ours even for as silly an act as is unintentional spitting on the floor, as unlike to all other creations in the universe, God has given humans wisdom, will, and intellect to choose between multiples and opposites.

Let us pray that we all come out of this cosmic dream of an endless concatenation of happenings after happenings… life after life…and death after death with an attendant sense of ownership beyond the ownership of God alone, and wake up one fine day never again to fall back in this existential sleep of profound delusion.

मूर्तिपूजा क्या है?

 

मालिक ने स्पष्ट कहा है कि “सिर्फ मूर्तिओं की उपासना ही मूर्तिपूजा नहीं है. यदि कोई व्यक्ति अपनी आदतों का गुलाम है तो वो भी मूर्तिपूजक ही है”. उन्होंने यहाँ तक कहा है कि “उन चीज़ों के अस्तित्व में विश्वास जो वस्तुतः अस्तित्व में नहीं है, भी मूर्तिपूजा है. यदि कोई व्यक्ति अपने परिवार, बच्चों, इत्यादि से (आसक्त होकर) प्यार करता है तो वह भी मूर्तिपूजा ही है. सारांशतः, किसी भी भौतिक वस्तु में आसक्ति मूर्तिपूजा है”.

इसका दूसरा पहलू ये भी है कि यदि किसी मूर्ति अथवा प्रतीक की भी पूजा सार्वभौम, ब्रह्मस्वरुप अकायिक अमूर्त ईश्वर को ध्यान में रख के की जाए तो वो मूर्तिपूजा नहीं है. यदि आप अपने पिता की अनुपस्थिति में उनकी तस्वीर को देखकर उन्हें याद कर रहें हैं तो वस्तुतः आप अपने पिता को याद कर रहे है न कि उनकी तस्वीर की उपासना. इसके विपरीत यदि पिता प्रत्यक्ष हों और हम उनकी अवहेलना कर सिर्फ उनकी तस्वीर को अपनी श्रद्धा का विषय बनाएं तो वह एक अत्यंत मूढ़ किस्म की मूर्तिपूजा होगी. हमारा जीवन ऐसे उदाहरणों से भरा है जहां वृद्ध माता-पिता जब जीवित होते हैं तो उनकी कोई कद्र नहीं होती और जब स्वर्ग सिधार जाते हैं तब हम रो-रो कर सारी दुनिया को ये बताते हैं कि देखो हमें उनसे कितना प्यार था. हम सुन्दर फ्रेमों में उनकी उनकी तस्वीरों को मढ़वाते हैं और बड़ी बड़ी मालाओं से उन्हें अभिनंदित करते हैं.

मूर्तिपूजा का ऐतिहासिक परिप्रेक्ष्य यह है कि इसकी शुरुआत वैसे लोगों की आध्यात्मिक मदद के लिए की गई जिनके लिए किसी कारणवश ईश्वर के अमूर्त रूप पर प्रत्यक्षतः ध्यान करना संभव नहीं था. जैसे कुछ लता-गुल्मों को प्रारम्भ में बढ़ने के लिए सहारों की ज़रूरत होती है वैसे ही अमूर्त पर सीधे ध्यान न कर पाने वालों को मूर्तियों का सहारा दिया गया जिन्हें समय समय पर कोई सक्षम एवं समर्थ संत या फ़कीर आध्यात्मिक सत्व से चार्ज कर देते थे जैसे आज के ज़माने में हम सेल को चार्ज कर देते हैं. कालांतर में सब कुछ विद्रूप हो गया और अमूर्त एवं सार्वभौम ईश्वर तो गौण हो गया, प्रतीक एवं संकेत मुख्य हो गए.

पूजा, अर्चना, एवं इबादत के सारे स्थल और उनसे जुड़ी सारी कवायद तब तक सिर्फ प्रतीक ही हैं जब तक हमारी नज़र सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि के मालिक पे नहीं है. हमारे प्रियतम की पहनी चूड़ियाँ भले ही टूटी क्यूँ न हों, यदि उनसे हमें हमारे प्रियतम की याद आती है , तो वे हमारे लिए प्रियतम स्वरुप ही हैं.
